After a few years, the artist returned to his favourite scenery of Vilnius alleyways. He changed the perspective slightly and developed the setting by adding two carriages attempting to pass each other in a narrow street. The colour scheme stayed the samebrowns and ochres in a wide scale of tonal saturation. In the central part of the painting he placed patches of red which are the only strong accent of colour.
