A brilliantly observed scene of a group of Jewish tradesmen who are trying to convince a young man to buy a sluggish horse. Arguments are strengthened with grandiose gestures, which are witnessed by some random bystanders. The main group is drawn with a strong, expressive line and the background with secondary figures is light and hardly visible. There is the figure of a man with an umbrella known from the painting Market, 1900, oil, canvas, 75,5 x 126 cm.
